Jim joined Peak Wealth Management in August, 2018. Jim is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration with majors in marketing and management. He received his AIF (Accredited Investment Fiduciary) in early 2018.
His love for investing and financial planning began at an early age. At age 12, his father began talking with him about investing his hard earned money (from neighborhood lawn mowing jobs) into the stock market. It didn’t take long for this to become a new and exciting interest for him.
His passion to help people through any financial situation began after his father passed at the young age of 55. While helping his mother navigate the financial challenges she faced as a young widow, he was frustrated by the poor advice they received from financial advisors. As Jim’s career path led him to become a financial advisor he knew that he wanted to become a trusted resource for people who needed financial advice that was in their best interest.
Jim and his wife, Emily, have been married for over 15 years. They reside in Novi with their 3 children, Allison, Riley and Brett. Jim is actively involved as a coach for his children's sports teams and is an active member of Hilltop Church in Northville. When time allows, Jim enjoys playing basketball and golf, as well as, visiting their family cottage for summer lake activities.
In his spare time Jim volunteers with local charities. He is the former Treasurer for The Heart of a Child organization and is a board member and Treasurer for New Hope Center for Grief Support.
