Starting Net Worth: -$11,089
The day of the CFP® exam came….. AND I PASSED! The exam is notorious for having a low pass rate, as well as multiple choice questions with 3 answers that could be correct. I was (and am) incredibly proud of passing the exam on my first attempt, and also being able to say I no longer needed to study for 20+ hours per week. As a result of passing the exam, I received a raise to my base salary. Following the exam, I took a trip to Pittsburgh with some friends to watch my beloved Steelers play the Detroit Lions. The weekend was a fantastic celebration, although it ended in the Steelers tying the Lions who were 0-8 at that point (don’t worry, Lions fans. I foresee a great couple of years ahead). During the month, my net worth improved, but both the stock and crypto markets were down so it didn’t improve as much as I contributed towards my accounts. I once again contributed 4% to my Roth 401k and $850 to my Roth IRA while my total expenses for the month came to $1,974.89.
Ending Net Worth: -$9,740
