In September of 2022, we each continued contributing enough to our 401k’s to get the full match, and I also put $500 into my Roth IRA. Unfortunately, the market didn’t cooperate as it didn’t for most of 2022 and all of our investment accounts were down month over month even after these contributions. Our spending for the month was much lower than August because we didn’t have many wedding expenses, and this allowed us to pad the bank accounts a little bit more. Finally, Natasha received her first full month’s pay as she started her career as a teacher, and this helped to continue improving cash flow.
